It’s My Party…

There are so many things wrong with this post from a blog called alter.net that I won’t even list them all.  From a party to fund an abortion, to a three year old boy, precocious or not, being included in the “festivities”, to no mention what-so-ever of the unborn child…apparently the only thing that mattered to the writer is whether or not “males” get shafted during the abortion process…

By Byard Duncan, AlterNet.

jar-of-money-cleaned-web “Have you guys heard the news?” Maggie (name changed) unwrapped the scarf from around her neck and patted her flat belly. “Preggers.” It was around 30 degrees outside, and her cheeks were splashed pink from the Indiana wind.

“What are you going to do?” Unnecessary question, really — a conversational life vest, used when you’re balloonssputtering for something to say. We knew the answer. Maggie, a 22-year-old college senior with no intention of bringing a child into the world yet, was going to have an abortion. She told us that she had already made up her mind; she had even determined the time, date and location. A better question might have been, “How are you going to pay for it?”

She answered that one before we had a chance to ask. “We’re having a party Friday to raise money,” Maggie said. “You guys are obviously invited.”

An abortion party. For the price of whatever we were willing to donate, she explained, we could partake of baked goods, beer and dancing. It was going to start at 10 p.m. at Maggie’s.

The Facebook invite came a day later, and it was settled. Ali and I were going to scrape together what donation money we could and join in the festivities.

Festivities?  FESTIVITIES????

You can read the rest here.  If you can stomach it.  I felt the same way about Michael Jacksons’ “festivities”.  A sad, lost and broken man dies, and Hollywood takes the opportunity to turn it into a circus.  This woman is having an abortion and throws herself a party.  She even decorates with a pseudo-womb.

Seriously, what’s left to say?

    Life means nothing anymore.

A party for an unplanned pregnancy that will end in the termination of a developing human being? How sick can a culture get?

Ya know, the Roman’s celebrated death too. Instead of calling the place of abortions a clinic or a mill we should start calling them the abortion colosseums since it is just fun and games, right?

Oh, I know! I know a better title for this post!

    eh hemm…..

“It’s my party and she’ll die if I don’t want her”

That should be Planned Parenthood’s new marketing strategy:

Abortion services include consultation, procedure, and follow ups with cake and ice cream.

If you read the comments many pro-choicers themselves are appalled. This is what I posted on Jill’s article:

I read that article. It’s kind of sad, really. Pretty tragic situation–I wonder what Maggie felt after the abortion?

What was truly sad about the article was not only the cheapening of the process but the fact that the author expressed sentiments that he feels sorry for women who are put in the position of “needing” an abortion. Does he consider the root causes of the” injustice”? He seems happy accepting the “symptoms” instead. Woman pressured to abort because of career? Let’s keep the system in place, as women could always ‘just get an abortion.’ That’s the solution! Killing the child instead of working on behalf of pregnant women in the workplace!

Something else is that he kind of complacently albeit sadly accepts the idea that men have NO place in the decision. How dare men be INVOLVED when conception happens? What a perfect way to keep women as playthings for men to use and throw away.

    PIP –

“How dare men be INVOLVED when conception happens?”

That is exactly what women tell them! That they have no right to “force” a woman to “carry” his child. What happens if the decision the man wants is to keep the child but the woman chooses abortion. Legally, he has no say. What happens if he wants her to have an abortion, but she chooses to keep the baby. Legally, he has no say and is forced to pay child support for 18 years.

Why should he think any other way than to think men are not to be involved when our own laws tell them they legally can’t be involved.

It is fascinating that women only want men to be responsible if they decide to keep the baby- that is when the “you are partly responsible for this” and “you shoulda worn a condom” arguments come out. Women can abort parental rights but they refuse to let men to the same (generally).

    Oh, irony.

“She had discovered earlier that week, after missing a period and taking the test. “I kind of knew already. My boobs and my lower back have been killing me for a while.” She shrugged”

“The Facebook invite came a day later, and it was settled. Ali and I were going to scrape together what donation money we could and join in the festivities”.

“Maggie, too, looked less than excited. A few days beforehand, one of her friends had asked her to have the abortion in Ohio. When Maggie insisted on bringing her boyfriend along, the friend told her not to bother coming”.

So that makes her three to four weeks “pregger”.

    What a scam.

Latter the “villian boyfriend”, and Maggie went out and had a unusually expensive meal, and made that apartment payment they were behind on, which saved their liberal social status by having a “abortion party”.

For what is the worse shame, being known as a dead beat, while wearing some Che accoutrements, unable to pay for your apartment, or having a abortion?

Latter, as word spread about Maggie being “preggers”, she called up Joey(name changed), and asked him to contribute to her abortion, since he was the only person she was having sex with.

You gotta say one thing, old “shame-wow boy” evidently didn’t pony up a dime, and that makes this story a invitation to con liberals into contributing to “abortion parties”.
