Some Bad News for the Obama Administration

ShrekRobinHood Little by little the MSM is beginning to wake up…..sort of.  They are beginning to see that the conservatives had a reason for being concerned about what Obama and the Dems have been saying for the past couple years.  Here are 4 stories that show that ‘We The People’ are now paying attention to the many lies that were told on the campaign trail:

1.  When the information isn’t favorable – scream bias

After the election, a progressive Web site said Rasmussen had the third-highest mark for accuracy in predicting the outcome of the 2008 presidential primaries. And his last general election poll came within tenths of a point of the final result.

However, the Rasmussen polls are not favorable to Obama anymore so guess what…..

Democrats and liberal bloggers are on the attack. Their target: Independent pollster Scott Rasmussen. Multiple blogs charge that Rasmussen’s surveys are flawed at best and biased at worst. Eric Boehlert from Media Matters calls Rasmussen Reports the "GOP’s favorite polling firm," saying it, "seems to have a patent on asking really dumb — and misleading — polling questions designed solely to generate dubious ‘buzz.’"

2.  Medicare isn’t as good as they want us to believe:

The Mayo Clinic, praised by President Obama as a national model for efficient health care, has stopped accepting Medicare patients at one of its Arizona facilities…..

The Mayo organization says it lost $840 million last year on Medicare and that the program’s payments only cover about 50 percent of its costs.

Exactly how good will their health care be if they can’t even get the programs already in place to work correctly?

3.  C-Span has challenged Obama to put his actions where his mouth is:

"That’s what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are," Obama said at a debate against Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.

However, this hasn’t been the case, and certaintly isn’t when it comes the Health Care reform:

The head of C-SPAN has implored Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public, as top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves.

Congressional leaders, however, reportedly are expected to bypass the traditional conference committee process, in which lawmakers from both parties and chambers meet to reconcile differences between the House and Senate versions of a bill. Instead, The Associated Press reports that top Democrats at the House, Senate and White House will figure out the final product in three-way talks before sending it back to both chambers for a final vote.

Perhaps we should send Obama a dictionary outlining the definition of the word “Transparency”.

4.  So, how about all those jobs saved and created?  We are still getting imaginary zip codes:

Closer examination of the latest recovery.gov report for New Mexico shows hundreds of thousands of dollars sent to and credited with creating jobs in zip codes that do not exist in New Mexico or anywhere else. Moreover, funds reported as being spent in New Mexico were given zip codes corresponding to areas in Washington and Oregon.

The recovery.gov site reports that $373,874 was spent in zip code 97052. Unfortunately, this expenditure created zip jobs. But $36,218 was credited with creating 5 jobs in zip code 87258. A cool hundred grand went into zip code 86705, but didn’t result in even one person finding work.

None of these zip codes exist in New Mexico, or anywhere else, for that matter.

The recovery.gov report also credits New Mexico with $131,139, though the zip codes receiving these funds (but creating no jobs) are in fact located in DuPont, Washington, Richland, Washington, and Gales Creek, Oregon…..

Update West Virginia Watchdog’s Steve Allen Adams reports $28 million in stimulus funds going to what he has discovered are nonexistent zip codes.

Update Nebraska Watchdog’s Joe Jordan has found millions going to nonexistent zip codes.

Update Scott St. Clair, the watchdog at the Evergreen Freedom Foundation in Washington state finds stimulus funds reported as going to nonexistent zip codes.

I’ll ask the question again – why do we want these people to have control of our healthcare?
