I’ve reported some pretty odd things about the Obama Administration. I thought nothing was going to top blackmailing and then bribing the Senator from Nebraska with free Medicaid for his state. However, if this turns out to be true…….yikes! What the heck is going on in D.C.?
In a nut shell – A NY Congressman, Eric Massa, announced he was not going to run for office again because of a recurrence of cancer. Then the media reports that there is an ethics inquiry concerning Massa making an inappropriate comment to a male staffer. Now he is resigning. The “incident” happened 67 days ago and it is released now. So, what is going on?
It turns out Massa wasn’t a supporter of Obama’s Budget and is not a supporter of Obama’s healthcare reform.
Massa had some things to say as his last act as a politician on his radio show. First, let’s deal with the inappropriate comment:
(After dancing with bride and bridesmaid at a wedding reception and returning to his table) "One of them looked at me and, as they would do after, I don’t know, 15 gin and tonics, and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne, a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid, and his points were clear and his words were far more colorful than that.
"And I grabbed the staff member sitting next to me and said, ‘Well, what I really ought to be doing is fracking you,’" he said.
"And then [I] tousled the guy’s hair and left, went to my room, because I knew the party was getting to a point where it wasn’t right for me to be there. Now was that inappropriate of me? Absolutely. Am I guilty? Yes."
(The Staff member) "never said to me that he felt uncomfortable"…."never went to anybody."… "somebody went to another staff member who was uncomfortable for him. It was a third-party political correctness statement."
Massa claims he didn’t know this incident was under investigation until he announced his resignation.
Here is what Massa said happened in the Congressional Gym shower after he was not supportive of Obama’s budget:
"I’m sitting there showering, naked as a jaybird, and here comes Rahm Emanuel, not even with a towel wrapped around his tush, poking his finger in my chest, yelling at me because I wasn’t gonna vote for the president’s budget," ……"Do you know how awkward it is to have a political argument with a naked man? … It’s ridiculous."…. "By the way, what the heck is he doing in the congressional gym? He goes there to intimidate members of Congress."
And some more on Emanuel:
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn,”
“He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive”
If it wasn’t for all the other underhanded things the Obama administration has been doing lately, I wouldn’t even give these comments a second thought. However, we can’t deny that this just follows along with many other situations that have been going on.
My understanding is that 2 democratic senators left and that leaves Massa with the “Deciding” vote on health care. They need to get rid of him…
