Congress is more expensive than the Iraq War

I’m totally serious.  If we eliminate Congress but keep fighting the war on terror we would be able to pay back our debt!

Numbers, numbers everywhere–is there a truth in site?

I have a love hate relationship with statistics.  You can make anything sound good or anything sound bad depending on how it is presented.  What really tells the truth are graphs.  It’s really hard to fudge those.  So, here are some of the recent graphs from the latest CBO report.

Something important to note:

The long term unemployment is at an all time high.  This means people unemployed for longer than 26 weeks is on the rise.

Let’s just vote them all out in November.  I don’t care what “party” they belong to.  We need to wipe the slate clean and start again.

Obama proposes more spending and more debt

Obama just presented Congress with his $3.8 trillion annual budget for 2011. This would leave a $1.6 Trillion deficit for the year. 

Yippee.  More debt to leave our kids.  This has got to stop
