"Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares – and call them racists,"

Yellow Journalism doesn’t even describe it.  I think history will show that we are in the midst of the rainbow journalism era.  This is just too disgusting for words.  Our country is falling apart, and the colorful journalism have a lot of blame they can take for it.

I did many articles on Rev. Jeremiah Wright – Obama’s preacher of 20 years.  Most of us here agreed that the man was a lunatic, however some of you couldn’t figure out why the story was only being reported by the conservativerev-wright-22 journalists.  Since the liberal media wasn’t paying too much attention, it wasn’t worth paying attention to, right?  Most of the liberals who read this blog thought we were nuts when we talked about the “liberal bias” in the media.  Well, now we have those darned things called emails that have come back to bite some journalists in the behind.

A group of liberal journalists in 2008 sought to sweep under the rug the Rev. Jeremiah Wright scandal that threatened to derail then-Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign,…..

The documents offer evidence to conservative critics who have long held that the mainstream media were in the tank for Obama, and bolsters the argument that reporters with major news outlets are biased in their coverage.

Journalists working for Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic expressed outrage over the tough questioning Obama received from ABC anchors Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos at a debate and some of them plotted to protect Obama from the swirling controversy, according to the Daily Caller.

Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent pressed his fellow journalists to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by shifting topics to one of Obama’s conservative critics, the Daily Caller reported.

"Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares – and call them racists," Ackerman wrote.

“Call them racists”.  Wow, have we been hearing that a lot, haven’t we?  It looks like their plan worked so well, they just can’t seem to stop the race card anymore.

Long story short – the “journolists” didn’t like the questions that Gibson and Stephanopoulos asked because they knew it made their supreme leader, aka Obama, look bad.  So, they attacked every conservative that they could to change the subject.  Unfortunately it worked.  We now have an anti-American in the White House.  Go here to read more of their hatred and bias.

So, what kind of things were they trying to cover up?  Well, Rev Wright married the Obama’s, baptized their daughters and preached to them from the pulpit every weekend for 20 years.  What kind of things was Wright saying?

Catholic Teachings cannot be taught in Catholicism

Helen sent me this story.  The University of Illinois believes Catholic teaching cannot be taught in a class on Catholicism because of hate speech.

The University of Illinois has fired an adjunct professor who taught courses on Catholicism after a student accused the instructor of engaging in hate speech by saying he agrees with the church’s teaching that homosexual sex is immoral.

Now lets put one and one together here.  The student is ticked off that the professor sent an email out to his students in order to help prepare them for an upcoming exam.  What a bad teacher!  He actually tried to help his students succeed!  Here is the email:

"Natural Moral Law says that Morality must be a response to REALITY," he wrote in the e-mail. "In other words, sexual acts are only appropriate for people who are complementary, not the same."

Action + Mohammad persecution = Consequence

Christians have been screaming at the creators of South Park for their obvious prejudice towards Christianity and have “double dog dared” them into doing an episode with Mohammed.  Some here have tried to claim that South Park has repeatedly made fun of Muhammad, however they seem to confuse the Islamic faith and way of life with their Prophet.  There really is a huge difference.  There is also a huge difference between making fun of Muhammad pre 9/11 and after 9/11.  (BTW – the last time South Park had Mohammad depicted was July 4,2001)trey-parker-matt-stone

A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.

Understanding both sides of the problem

I hate it when this happens!  I hate it when something happens and I can’t figure out a wrong or right.  There is the ‘On one hand’ and then the ‘On the other hand’ that I keep doing.

Horton-1 Maybe I should tell you the story first, and then we can discuss what everyone thinks the answer should be:

The Albuquerque company, Elane Photography, is co-owned by Elaine Huguenin and her husband Jon…..

In 2006 a woman named Vanessa Willock asked them to photograph a “commitment ceremony” that she and another woman wanted to hold in Taos, N.M. State law does not recognize homosexual unions.

Elaine Hugenin declined because her and her husband’s Christian beliefs conflicted with the message communicated by the ceremony, the ADF said. Willock filed a complaint with the New Mexico Human Rights Commission, accusing Elane Photography of discrimination based on sexual orientation.

The Black Panthers that got away

Let me take you to the past and remember election day 2008:

The Department of Justice filed a civil suit against the New Black Panthers Party and the two men that intimidated the voters on January 7, 2009.  Just a couple weeks before the Bush Administration left office.  In April the court entered a default judgment against them because they failed to answer to the lawsuit but this all changed in May:

Sources told The Bulletin that there is internal dissension in the Department of Justice (DOJ) about a voter intimidation case from last year’s presidential election. Obama appointees did not want to proceed with the case, while the career prosecutors did. The incident occurred in Philadelphia and involved the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPPSD).

I would like to make a note that the above quote is from the Philadelphia’s newspaper ‘The Bulletin’.  The article was a direct link that I found on the New Black Panthers Website.

Thou Shalt Not Teach Religion…unless its Islam

There is a slight problem going on in Alexandria townships in New Jersey with their middle schools curriculum:

At a curriculum forum in the Middle School library last night, about 30 parents shared their opinions of the text and of teacher Brian McGrath’s assignments on the topic….

Controversy over the text and an assignment requiring students to create a mini-Quran drew about two dozen teachers, administrators and school board muslimwomen members as well as the parents….

Several parents said the information about Islam was too nuanced for sixth-graders to understand and that the book read like a religious text. “Why are so many pages dedicated to Islam?” asked one parent. “The book goes above and beyond what a sixth-grader should be doing at this point.”….

South Park + Facebook + Redhead = Slippery Slope

I’m constantly talking about the slippery slope and how easy it is to go for a ride down that slide.  I’m also constantly talking about things that seem like “innocent” TV shows that can result in problems.

Well, here ya go:

A 12-year-old boy was kicked and beaten by as many as 14 classmates, allegedly because a group on Facebook encouraged students to beat up  redheads, authorities said.

The boy was kicked and hit in two separate incidents around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas, many faces of Cartman said Lt. Richard Erickson of the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department.

“He was accosted by seventh and then eighth-graders,” Erickson said. “He was kicked and hit with fists in various areas of the body.”

Detectives believe the beatings were spurred by Facebook messages telling students that Nov. 20 was “Kick a Ginger Day.”

Is banning something Progressive?

France is considered by many to be a progressive country.  However, is this progressive or discrimination?

President Nicolas Sarkozy lashed out Monday at the practice of wearing the Muslim burqa, insisting the full-body religious gown is a sign of the "debasement" of women and that it won’t be welcome in France.

The French leader expressed support for a recent call by dozens of legislators to create a parliamentary commission to study a small but Burqa_Afghanistan growing trend of wearing the full-body garment in France…….

"In our country, we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity," Sarkozy said to extended applause in a speech at the Chateau of Versailles southwest of Paris.

"The burqa is not a religious sign, it’s a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement—I want to say it solemnly," he said. "It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic." …..

How bad is hatred in America?

I was sent an article from World Net Daily yesterday morning.  I would usually do the research to see what kind of spin was used and try to find the ‘other side’ of the story.  However, there is just so much more to this story than meets the eye and there are too many ‘other’ sides to research.

I first began to think about this topic during the primaries last year.  I was all psyched about voting for Mitt Romney that my heart fell when he backed out before Indiana had a chance to vote.  One aspect of Mitt’s life that the everyone must be included and tolerance screaming media focused on continuously was his religion.  Mitt happens to be a Mormon.  So the same people who scream that religion and government must be separate are the very people who kept bringing up someone’s religion in order to make them out to be a bad person.
