Breaking News

I’m going to break our tradition of no posts on Sunday because this is a story I have followed my entire life.  A pedophile that the Hollyweirdo’s admire has been detained:

Director Roman Polanski has been taken into custody by Swiss police on a 31-year-old U.S. arrest warrant, organizers of the Zurich Film Festival said Sunday.

Polanski fled the United States in 1978, a year after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl.

The 76-year-old director of such classic films as "Chinatown" and "Rosemary’s Baby" recently sought dismissal of his case on grounds of misconduct by the now-deceased judge who had arranged a plea bargainLibertyJustice and then reneged on it.

Polanski has lived for the past three decades in France, where his career has continued to flourish. He received a directing Oscar in absentia for the 2002 movie "The Pianist."

Reading, Riting and Rithmetic…oh yeah…and Rhetoric

Seriously.  Can you even IMAGINE if this were about George Bush instead of “The One”?

Equal work means Equal pay?????   What next, a book report on the Communist Manifesto????

Here’s the lyrics…

Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue —- Mr. President we know you’ll do the trick
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

Too perfect to be perfect

Perfection.  The Western Civilizations latest obsession.  All must be perfect.  And if you aren’t perfect, go to drugs.  We see it all the time in our commercials (infomercials being the worst).  The interviews with the Beautiful people who had pimples that were too embarrassed to go out into public until they used anti-pimple drug X and now…..dum dum, dum….they are able to be seen in light again!  Ahhhh…..now their lives are complete.  Or how about that woman with the scar on her shoulder?  Because of the horrible scar she can’t **gasp** wear a strapless dress and parent yelling can’t meet any men!  But never fear, drug Z cream will cure her of that nasty scar and now she is the life of the party with all the men desiring only her.  The list goes on and on.  In the age of *cough* “tolerance” we find ourselves out casted by the slightest flaw.  In the age of *sniffle* “we are all equal and we must accept everyone” we chastise anyone who isn’t beautiful a.k.a. perfect.  And because of these imperfections, we cannot socialize, go out in public or feel sexy in any way.  Because of these flaws, we are not perfect and don’t’ deserve the attention.

I Guess It’s One of Those Issues that Just Isn’t "Black and White"

Okay.  Now I’m trying to understand this.  Americans of every race, color, creed and sex are opposing Obama on Health Care and for this reason and this reason ALONE they are being called racist.  Even President Carter has spoken out…Fox News reports:

But, Carter again Wednesday repeated what he said a day before. Jimmy Carter

“I think people are guilty of that kind of personal attack against Obama, have been influenced to a major degree by a belief that he should not be president because he happened to be African American,” Carter said during a town hall meeting in Atlanta.

Forward to last Tuesday…we’re on a school bus filled with African American Students and as far as I can see, 2 white students.  One white student sits next to a black student, who proceeds to beat the ***** out of him.  The other black students do nothing.  The bus driver does nothing.  The police have stated that they do not believe this was motivated by race, but rather some boys just didn’t want this boy to sit in that seat….5 minutes after the first beating, the African American students proceeded to beat the white boy again.

Abercrombie and Fitch

About 20 years ago I used to shop at a store that catered to old men who liked camping and fishing.  I bought many a flannel shirt there.   I still have and wear three of them, albeit they are held together with safety pins now.   I love those shirts.

But then something happened.  The store changed hands and instead of wonderful, thick flannels they began to cater to the younger crowd and instead of promoting fishing they now promote catching something different…namely, STD’s.

I remember one Christmas, purchasing a few items for my boys, and then continuing on with my shopping.  I walked through Woodfield Mall for hours carrying a shopping bag sporting their logo.  I didn’t realize it, but it also sported a picture of a young man (he looked all of 16) in bed with TWO young girls (they looked all of 15).  It wasn’t until I got home that I saw what was on that shopping bag.  Needless to say, that was the last time I set foot in the store, and the last time my kids ever wore anything from there.

AND A CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM

Last week I took my mother to All Saints Cemetery to visit my fathers grave.  While we were there she asked if I’d mind stopping at the grave of the daughter of one of her friends.  This little girl died when she was five, back in the 70′s.

We got out of the car and I noticed that these grave sites were not like the others.  They all belonged to children.  They had lambs, and toys and teddy bears on them.  My mom explained that this was the area of the cemetery reserved for children and infants.

Who will stand up for the disabled?

As I was reading this story all I could think is why are they thinking this is such a horrible thing?  We say they are just a choice, right?  We say it is okay for a woman to abort a wanted pregnancy because she finds out her child isn’t perfect.  So, why is using them for biological weapons so shocking?  It’s just the next natural step for the circular slippery slope, isn’t it?  Or perhaps onceRene_Kirby people realize these people deserve a chance to live based on this emotionally charged story we will start climbing up that slope instead of continuing the decline.  One can only hope.

But among the accounts (from military soldiers that escaped N. Korea) they carried with them is one of the most shocking yet to emerge — namely the use of humans, specifically mentally or physically handicapped children, to test North Korea’s biological and chemical weapons.

When an apology is garbage

If you are a decent, kind and loving person you better get a vomit bag because this one will make you sick.

There are just some things that an apology won’t help.  One of them is the Huffington post Blogger that thought it would be “funny” to make fun of people with disabilities.  After some bad PR the blog post was removed.  You be the judge:

Palin Will Run in ‘12 on More Retardation Platform

In Sarah Palin’s resignation announcement she complained about the treatment of her son Trig who always teaches her life lessons. She said that the "world needs more Trigs, not fewer." That’s a presidential campaign promise we can all get behind. She will be the first politician to actually try to increase the population of retarded people. To me, it’s kinda like saying the world needs more cancer patients because they teach us such personal lessons.

Rah, Rah, Rah, she’s in trouble now

Stu sent this to me and I thought it was just to sad and pathetic not to post:

A teenage cheerleader stole $187 from a wheelchair-bound boy who had earned the money selling t-shirts for a charity, police charge. Chelsea Steele, 17, was arrested last Friday, a few hours after she allegedly robbed Joseph Green at a Marietta, Georgia community pool house where Green was "selling t-shirts and hats…for charity," according to a criminal warrant. Steele, who attends Sprayberry High School, is listed as a member of the school’s varsity cheerleading squad in a roster available for downloading from the school’s web site (though it appears that her name was scrubbed elsewhere from the site following her July 3 bust). Steele….. is facing a felony robbery count (she was also hit with an underage alcohol possession rap). Police are investigating whether Steele had accomplices, since she was spotted fleeing the pool house in the company of a friend, with whom she departed the area in a Ford Taurus.

Parents? What’s that?

The Catholic News Agency reports:

The Modesto City School Board on Monday voted to allow junior high and high school students to leave campus during the school day for “confidential medical services,” …. without the consent or knowledge of their parents.

Karen England, executive director of the pro-family lobbying group Capitol Resource Institute, attended the meeting and reported that four people testified in favor of “excluding parents.” Three were from Planned no-children Parenthood while one was described as an “activist.”

School district attorney Roman Munoz said the new policy updates district regulations to conform to a provision of the state Education Code which took effect in 1986.

The relevant section of the Education Code says the governing board of each school district in each academic year should notify pupils in grades 7 to 12 and their parents and guardians that school authorities may “excuse any pupil from the school for the purpose of obtaining confidential medical services without the consent of the pupil’s parent or guardian.”
