Newsweek at it again
Newsweek has become my muse. Seriously! Sometimes I just can’t wait to see what “new and improved” thing they will do in their desperate attempt to get more sales. It’s been fun.
But, I’m not sure this is the right way to go about it. First of all, you will tick off the liberals for saying those things. Second you will tick off the conservatives because it is just another attempt from the media to discredit anything we say. (Although, most conservatives do not believe what is on the front, we know who the ‘target’ is at.)

President ignores We The People……again
Mr. Obama, I’d like to introduce you to some people. The various names they all have make it impossible for me to give them all to you individually, so I will just give you their general name – Americans.
I know it will come as a shock to you, but you do have to listen to these people. This may be difficult for you to do considering your background in the corrupt politics of Chicago, but you are no longer in Chicago, are you? You must listen to the people who are not democrats, who did not vote for you or regret voting for you and people who disagree with your policies.
This past weekend tens of thousands – quite possibly hundreds of thousands – of people tried to get you to hear them. And what did you do?

Letterman on Obama’s Vacations
You know things are bad for Obama when Letterman starts to say things.
I have read many reports that say President Bush took more “Vacations” in the same time period as Obama has. But there is one difference. They are adding all the times he went to Crawfordsville and Martha’s Vineyard as Vacations. This is misleading. He went on working trips. How many press conferences did you see Bush have at his Texas ranch? How many pictures of Bush is there of frolicking on the ocean shore or eating out at fancy restaurants? Not many.
It’s the up in your face na na na boo boo attitude of Obama’s that is the problem. I’m sure he is still working while vacationing (at least, I hope so) because the President of the United States never gets time off. However, Obama really seems to be flaunting it, IMHO. There are no pictures of him really working on vacation, very little press conferences and the like. Most of us believed that President Bush was still working while away from the White House. I’m beginning to wonder how many people believe the same of Obama?

I GOT NOTHIN’ TO SAY…
Foodstamps? We don’t need no stinkin’ foodstamps!
Yes, you read that right. Under the Obama administration saving jobs, that have the potential to be lost is more important than people receiving foodstamps.
Some Democrats are upset and advocacy groups are outraged over the raiding of the food-stamp cupboard to fund a state-aid bailout that some call a gift to teachers and government union workers.
House members convened Tuesday and passed the multibillion-dollar bailout bill for cash-strapped states that provides $10 billion to school districts to rehire laid-off teachers or ensure that more teachers won’t be let go before the new school year begins, keeping more than 160,000 teachers on the job, the Obama administration says.
But the bill also requires that $12 billion be stripped from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, to help fund the new bill, prompting some Democrats to cringe at the notion of cutting back on one necessity to pay for another. The federal assistance program currently helps 41 million Americans.
Obama’s birthday present
So, what did Michelle get Barack on his birthday? She was out of the country. What a great present. Wait……
So, Michelle Obama is taking a lavish vacation with her children in Spain which happens to be during the President’s birthday. It looks like Spain was kind enough to even close one of the beaches just for her. Columnist Maureen Dowd noted that if she wanted a closed beach she could have just gone to the gulf. She also noted that if she truly cared about the economy in America she would have taken her vacation here instead of abroad. She leaves us in a possible double dip recession and decides to take our money to help out Spain’s economy. Nice.
So, what else has Michelle Obama done during times that her husband celebrated, or needed a loving wife at his side? Ms. Dowd is kind enough to explain for us.

Not too long ago one of our commenter’s went on a hysterical rant on the stupid things people have said about how Obama was going to “change” our country. Another commenter thought is was just more Obama bashing until it was pointed out that they were real quotes.
Listen to this radio broadcast from a Florida talk show and you will not only hear many of those quotes you will hear just how ignorant some people are.
Another Broken Promise–Anyone Surprised?

Despite President Obama’s pledge to retain more hi-tech jobs in the U.S., a federal agency run by a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $22 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia.
Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent’s low labor costs……
While Obama acknowledged that occupations such as garment making don’t add much value to the U.S. economy, he argued relentlessly during his presidential run that lawmakers needed to do more to keep hi-tech jobs in IT, biological sciences, and green energy in the country.
He also accused the Bush administration of creating tax loopholes that made it easier for U.S. companies to place work offshore in low-cost countries.
