Black Tea Partiers at Glenn Beck Rally
Why is it, that in the youtube video I put up last night and in this one below, did the black activists start off arguing with black Sharpton supporters but only end up talking to whitey? Why is that?
Why are the blacks that support Sharpton letting the white man fight his battles?
It doesn’t make any sense, does it?
**For those that don’t want to or don’t have time to watch these video’s – the arguments they are having are based around black politics, not just politics in general. They are talking about how decisions made by politicians affect black people and if white politicians have taken their dignity away.
I’m so confused.
How much money builds a school
$578 Million.
That is how much Los Angeles paid for their new school. It is located where The Ambassador Hotel once was – which is the place Robert Kennedy was shot. In 2005 the hotel was demolished and in 2010 a new $578 million school is born. The Robert F. Kennedy Community School.
Let’s us remember that California has the largest deficit that hovers around $14 Billion. It also has one of the highest drop out rates too, at about 20%. To make things worse they only have a 68% graduation rate.
Now, some of you may be saying that since it is in Los Angeles, they probably have the money to do this right? Wrong! The school district is $640 million short, 3,000 laid off teachers, cutting back on the academic year and programs, and an above average drop out rate of 35%. According to ABC News “LA Unified is one of the lowest-performing school districts in America”.
Another Broken Promise–Anyone Surprised?
From Information Week:
Despite President Obama’s pledge to retain more hi-tech jobs in the U.S., a federal agency run by a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $22 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia.
Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent’s low labor costs……
While Obama acknowledged that occupations such as garment making don’t add much value to the U.S. economy, he argued relentlessly during his presidential run that lawmakers needed to do more to keep hi-tech jobs in IT, biological sciences, and green energy in the country.
He also accused the Bush administration of creating tax loopholes that made it easier for U.S. companies to place work offshore in low-cost countries.
Hey! ObamaCare–Let me show you the way to the door
I haven’t had much time to keep up with politics lately. (okay, now that you have picked yourself up from falling to the floor at that confession…you can continue reading!)
Chicks on the Right reports that Missouri had their primaries and there was a nasty little thing called Proposition C.
All eyes will be on Missouri’s Proposition C results because it’s the first time voters in the country vote for or against the new federal health care law. Basically Proposition C would create a state law against federal mandates requiring people to buy health insurance.
A little over 71% voted against it. And before you start whining that the Missouri people are too stupid to think for themselves and that the republicans “brain washed” them somehow – Missouri is one of those states that is almost 50/50 in elected officials party affiliation. Both sides had equal opportunities to “educate” the people.
Who was Martin Luther King?
I know many of you hate Glenn Beck, however I feel this is an interview that should be seen. Glenn Beck interviews Alveda King, MLK’s niece, and Stephen Broden. (If you seriously hate Beck, then skip the first video.)
The reason I feel this is so important is because of the subject they discuss. Many people think that the Robbin’ Hood mentality think that is the Christian way. However, redistribution couldn’t be more Anti Christian. They explain it so well in this. They also discuss the divisions of this country and how we got there.
The Media vs. Abortion
My Dad sent me another article from the Wall Street Journal and it is excellent. I’m hopeful that all sides will see things clearly after this.
This is an article by William McGurn titled “Gallup’s pro-life America” published on 6/1/2010 in the opinion section. It is about the recent Gallup poll that showed the majority of American’s consider
themselves pro-life and a vast majority of Americans want abortion legal “only under certain circumstances”. Simply put, the majority of Americans do not agree with abortion on demand being legal. However, the media will never tell you this. Mr. McGurn gives an excellent example of the media’s extreme bias:
In news reporting, it’s not unusual to encounter constructions such as this AP dispatch from the presidential campaign about Sarah Palin: "She has worshipped at a nondenominational Bible church since 2002, opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest and supports classroom discussions about creationism."
More Politics from me!
I haven’t passed my 12 step program for getting rid of my addiction to politics yet, so I figure it is okay to do a political post, right!? The men in white did come with a straight jacket for me, but I was able to out maneuver them – I threw cookies at them which slowed them down.
Anywho…….
I just have to report on this. It is a must! When the Chicago Tribune starts to bad talk the Obama presidency, it must be worthy of something. I took these pictures straight from the newspaper – I did not mess with them in anyway other than cropping in order to make them readable without being too big. If I did it right, you should be able to click on it for a bigger picture.
